JobTitle: Brand Director

PrimaryPurpose: The positionis part of Tapestry Singapore Leadership Team, and its main purpose is thedefinition and implementation of Kate Spade’s strategic long-term strategy inthis particular geographic area

Workingclosely with the Tapestry GM and the international Kate Spade stakeholders, youwill own the business direction, retail, VM, training & development,product strategies and localize the global marketing strategy in partnershipwith the SEA Marketing Director. You Will also be responsible for futurebusiness development efforts in your region and prospecting new sales channels.

Staff Development
  • Establish,in partnership with HR, successful and engaged corporate and store teams
  • Fosterownership among the Store Leadership Team through active delegation
  • Develop,pro-actively manage, and retain talent at all levels
  • Leadthe work-force planning activity and ensure people cost meet guidelines
  • Support the implementation of training programs; hold regularstaff meetings and town-halls
BrandIntegrity
  • Represent the Brand in alignment with Global Standards across allstores
  • Lead and be the guardian of the brand image & voice - developand own a flexible approach to balancing global, regional & local brandmessaging and content
  • Develop and drive, in partnership with the SEA marketing leader, amarketing strategy for the region to attain the commercial goals and maximizeROI
Sales Generation & Retail Management
  • Responsible for the countries P&L, budget & financialforecasts objectives.
  • Monitor and drive sales generation by store to meet sales andproductivity plans
  • Constantly analyze shopper, sell-out and retail information inorder to adapt and improve service, product, and Visual Merchandizingstrategies accordingly.
  • Run seamless Operations with the support of SEA Retail Ops team tocomply with Kate Spade policies and local regulations
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service in all stores inline with global objective & develop retail talents accordingly
  • Visit stores regularly to ensure execution, motivate teams andidentify areas of opportunities.
Merchandising Management
  • Ensure stores merchandise is maximizing salesand turning in line with plans
  • Stay current on product range and educatestaff on competitors’ products offering
  • Funnel product improvement ideas and providefeedback to global brand teams
  • Participate in regular product buys
  • Engage in ongoing communication with global buying team on local marketneeds and trends that includes special products, new store openings and newinitiates.
  • Take the lead on allocations to drive optimalstock allocation strategy to the South East Asia markets
Business Development
  • Keep healthy relations with landlords, act as first point ofcontact for the brand
  • Support GM in leases negotiations and drive financial evaluationwith the Finance team
  • Able to pro-actively identify potential new locations to open /relocate stores
Visual Merchandizing
  • Inpartnership with VM lead, own & drive VM priorities, workflow &management of designs for the local market, define & drive Top Door VMguidelines display with Field Merchandisers

  • Bachelor’sdegree and a 10 years previous experience
