A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a motivated Junior Network Engineer to provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for IT and OT infrastructure. Responsibilities include maintaining network operations, troubleshooting, and collaborating with senior engineers on improvements. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in network engineering, a strong understanding of TCP/IP, and hands-on experience with Cisco or similar devices. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Engineer to join our Network Operations team. This role provides Level 1 and Level 2 support for the organisation’s network, IT, and OT environments. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting day-to-day operations, while working closely with senior engineers on infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support the operation, maintenance, and refresh of IT and OT infrastructure, including networks, servers, endpoints, data platforms (data lakes and marts), and critical OT systems. (A Must)
Assist in ensuring stable and reliable IT and OT environments to support production, engineering, and business operations.
Provide operational support for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions and OT platforms, assisting with monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
Provide L1/L2 support for IT and OT services, ensuring timely incident resolution and minimal downtime.
Monitor system and network performance, investigate issues, and escalate complex problems to senior engineers when required.
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, digitalisation, and performance optimisation of IT and OT processes.
Participate in change, incident, and problem management activities in line with ITSM practices.
3+ years of experience in network engineering, network operations, or a related field
Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols
Hands-on experience with network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or Arista (Must)
Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are an advantage
