Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Conveyancing (CVY) Lawyer / Associate to join our firm’s conveyancing practice. The successful candidate will assist in handling a full range of conveyancing and property-related matters, including residential and commercial transactions, under the supervision of senior lawyers.

The role is suitable for a junior lawyer who is keen to build a strong foundation in conveyancing practice and develop technical competence, attention to detail, and professional client-handling skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in handling residential and commercial conveyancing transactions, including purchases, sales, refinancing, and transfers.

  • Prepare, review, and manage conveyancing documentation such as:

    • Option to Purchase (OTP)

    • Sale and Purchase Agreements

    • Mortgage and security documents

    • CPF-related documentation

  • Conduct title searches, due diligence, and requisitions.

  • Liaise with clients, banks, developers, CPF Board, IRAS, and other stakeholders.

  • Manage conveyancing timelines and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in completion matters, including settlement statements and post-completion work.

  • Maintain accurate and organised file records in accordance with firm procedures.

  • Perform other legal and administrative duties as assigned by supervising lawyers.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
  • Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, or

  • Recently qualified / Newly admitted lawyer with an interest in conveyancing practice.

Experience
  • 0–2 years of post-qualification experience in conveyancing or property-related work is preferred.

  • Fresh graduates or newly called lawyers with conveyancing exposure during training will be considered.

Skills & Competencies
  • Basic knowledge of Singapore conveyancing laws and procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Professional, responsible, and client-focused attitude.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

  • Willingness to learn and take instructions from senior lawyers.

Technical Requirements

Familiarity with SLA, INLIS, e-Lodgment, CPF submission systems, and conveyancing software is an advantage but not mandatory.
