Introduction

The Sr. Manager is to head learning and development and is responsible for employee competency and skill development. Having a team reporting to them, this role is to build a Global Learning Culture by spearheading the Talent Management and Development initiatives.

Your Job
  • Engage in global or regional change initiatives and support in driving change programs at sites
  • Lead Talent Management & Development team in delivering People Development interventions, in serving the customers needs to meet business and operations objectives.
  • Work with clients leadership team to understand training needs and drive learning and development initiatives to support those objectives
  • Proficient in the delivery of training interventions, e.g., Management or Technical training programs.
  • Responsible for the efficiency & effectiveness of overall Training Operations, e.g., Budget, Training Policy, Training Statistics, Administration.
  • Conduct and facilitate Organization Development programs and/or Team Effectiveness meetings.
  • Participate in enhancement of existing training program materials
  • Partner with different departments to develop NEW Advanced Technology courses.
  • Collaborate with technical experts from different sites to continuously source for, or in the absence which, to develop high quality and relevant technical training materials that meets training needs on a company wide basis e.g., Global Technical Curriculum.
  • Key contact for Institutes of Higher Learning (Universities, Polytechnics, etc.) to develop long term relationships to ensure continuous stream of talent pipeline.
  • Promulgate Good Relations with key government investment agency Economic Development Board (EDB) for scholarship sponsorship and grants
Other Responsibilities
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Business, HR Management or equivalent
  • At least 10 years relevant experience of which 5 years in a managerial capacity
  • Experience working in a semiconductor/manufacturing/engineering environment preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint or other software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Confident and able to deliver or facilitate stand-up training
  • Ability to work independently and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player with a strong sense of responsibility for completing assigned duties on time
  • Possess strong interpersonal communications skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
