Job summary

A logistics technology company based in Singapore is seeking an IT Support Manager to oversee the IT support function across all departments. This role requires strong leadership and a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, ideally within the shipping or freight forwarding sectors. You will ensure the availability and performance of essential systems, manage critical incidents, and support staff onboarding and IT planning. Knowledge of freight forwarding systems and how to utilize software licenses effectively is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant IT support experience, preferably in shipping or freight forwarding.
  • Strong leadership abilities and effective troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Good analytical skills and a solid understanding of freight forwarding workflows are essential.

  • Manage and lead the IT support function for every department
  • Ensure availability and performance of freight forwarding, shipping, and accounting systems
  • Provide IT support for shipment documentation, billing, tracking, and reporting
  • Act as escalation point for critical IT incidents affecting operations
  • Manage system access, security controls, and data protection
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers
  • Manage IT assets, software licences, and hardware
  • Support staff onboarding/offboarding and user training
  • Maintain IT documentation and disaster recovery procedures
  • Support IT planning, system upgrades, and continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant IT support experience, preferably in shipping or freight forwarding
  • Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of freight forwarding and shipping workflows
Technical Skills
  • Freight Forwarding / Shipping Systems (e.g. SysFreight, SAP, or equivalent)
  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Windows systems and basic server administration
  • Networking fundamentals (VPN, LAN, WAN)
  • EDI and document management systems
