JOB DESCRIPTION

Procurement & Sourcing
Identify, evaluate, and select vendors for software, IoT, networking, and digital solutions. Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to optimize cost and value. Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including RFQs, RFPs, and contract management. Conduct sourcing activities, obtain competitive quotes, and evaluate supplier proposals. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with internal policies and approval matrices. Support contract and price negotiations to achieve cost savings and value improvements. Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing, lead times, and supplier data within systems.

Supplier Management
Interact with approved suppliers to track order status, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery. Liaise with vendors regarding product specifications, delivery schedules, and order fulfilment issues. Escalate supplier performance issues and support vendor evaluation processes.

Technical Assessment
Collaborate with IT teams to understand technical requirements and ensure compatibility of purchased products. Evaluate vendor offerings for technical compliance, scalability, and security standards. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in IoT, networking, and digital platforms.

Internal Collaboration
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to understand material requirements. Work closely with logistics, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless PO–GR–Invoice flow. Ensure compliance with Seatrium procurement procedures, audit requirements, and governance standards.

Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to internal controls, cost management guidelines, and compliance frameworks. Support audits by providing documentation, system records, and traceability. Identify potential risks in supply availability, pricing, or vendor reliability, and escalate when necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in IT procurement or IT asset management. Strong knowledge of: Software licensing models (SaaS, perpetual, subscription). IoT and protocols. Networking hardware and configurations. Digital platforms and cloud services. Familiarity with IT security standards and compliance frameworks. Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management Resourceful with high level of honesty and integrity. Has initiative and hold information in the strictest confidence. Strong working knowledge of SAP (MM module preferred) and/or Oracle procurement modules Strong negotiation and analytical skills Detail-oriented with strong organisational and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
