Job summary

A technology solutions company based in Singapore is looking for a technical support specialist to manage training systems, provide infrastructure support, and lead a small team of engineers. Candidates should have strong networking knowledge and experience with Data Center infrastructure, as well as CCNA certification. The role requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks, as well as familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years working with Data Center infrastructure, hands-on setup experience with servers and networking equipment.
• Good knowledge in IP subnetting, VLANs, routing, IPSec and port forwarding.
• Experience in automation scripts for improving IT efficiency.

Job Description

• Provide day-to-day technical support for internal training systems and infrastructure
• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware (Laptops, servers(vm), network devices) and software
• Prepare and set up the centre according to the training requirements.
• Provisioning of training laptops using cloning tools, or push down via GPO or WSUS etc.
• Support user account and permission management in Microsoft Active Directory
• Provide operation and support for equipment. Diagnose hardware and software problems, and arrange for defective components to be replaced
• Perform routine monitoring, updates, and preventive maintenance across systems.
• Help maintain and document IT inventory, system configurations, and procedures.
• Coordinate and follow-up with vendors, system administrators and project teams to resolve issues in the environments.
• Contribute to automation scripts and documentation to improve IT efficiency

Job Requirement

• Singaporeans only.
• 2-3 years of working experience dealing with Data Center infrastructure, with hands‑on setup experience working with physical servers and networking equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls etc.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a team lead, managing a small team of 2-3 engineers.
• Knowledge in virtualization technology such as Virtual Machines. Exposure in VMware products, ESXi, vCenter. Know how to set up virtualised network of VMs and vSwitches is a plus.
• Minimally must have CCNA or equivalent certification. Need strong networking knowledge such as IP subnetting, VLANs, routing, IPSec and port forwarding etc.
• Familiarisation with cyber technologies is a plus, such as understanding SIEM, Antivirus, SSL, system logs etc.
• Good communication skills dealing with all stakeholders. Ability to discuss with them daily on task lists, work prioritisation and delegate tasks out to team engineers.

Work Location: Army camp based in Choa Chu Kang.
