The Head of IT oversees the group’s technology strategy, operations, and platforms across multiple retail brands and markets. This role is responsible for building a secure, scalable, data‑driven, and AI‑enabled ecosystem that enhances customer experience, strengthens retail operations, and accelerates digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the group‑wide IT strategy aligned with retail expansion, digital innovation, and business growth.
- Establish the IT operating model, structure, and talent roadmap.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary technology teams, fostering capability building and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Drive change management, digital adoption, and continuous improvement of user experience across the organization.
2. Enterprise Architecture & Systems Integration
- Lead the SAP S/4HANA migration and its integration with POS, CRM, eCommerce, warehouse, and supply chain systems.
- Oversee enterprise architecture design ensuring efficiency, interoperability, and scalability.
- Govern end‑to‑end application lifecycle management across POS, MPOS, SAP, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, CRM, and marketplace integrations.
- Drive workflow automation and business process optimization across markets.
3. Data & AI Governance
- Establish group‑level data governance, security standards, and data‑quality frameworks.
- Standardize dashboards, reports, and analytical views across all retail markets.
- Lead Data Engineering, Data Science, BI, and Analytics teams to deliver: Forecasting and inventory insights, Customer personalization models, Comprehensive performance analytics
- Oversee responsible AI governance including GenAI guidelines, AI security protocols, and adoption of tools like Microsoft Copilot.
4. Digital Platforms
- Lead development and optimization of eCommerce platforms, mobile apps, and omnichannel customer journeys.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and monitoring of digital commerce operations.
- Enhance CRM systems, customer data platforms, and communication channels (e.g., WhatsApp, IG Messaging, Messenger).
- Partner with Marketing and Digital teams to strengthen personalization, loyalty programs, and targeted campaigns.
5. Infrastructure & Compliance
- Ensure uptime and stability of all mission‑critical retail systems (POS, SAP, eCommerce).
- Strengthen cybersecurity posture through secure‑by‑design principles.
- Maintain regional IT compliance certifications (e.g., Cyber Trust Mark).
- Lead network and system resiliency, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Improve IT support operations using AI‑driven helpdesk tools.
6. Software Development & Engineering
- Lead in‑house development of MPOS solutions, CRM enhancements, retail tools, and integration platforms.
- Promote engineering excellence through open‑source practices, DevOps, secure coding, and strong documentation standards.
- Ensure consistent methodologies across all development teams.
7. Project & Vendor Management
- Oversee key IT programs and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Manage strategic vendor partnerships and licensing arrangements (SAP, Salesforce, Braze, Segment, cloud providers, marketplace partners).
- Optimize costs across hardware, software, cloud, and professional services.
- Ensure technology investments deliver measurable business impact and ROI.
