An IT, Event & Application Support Executive at The Singapore Buddhist Lodge will manage IT support for all events such as Puja, Dharma talks, classes, ceremonies and festive celebrations, handle application support, and provide IT assistance to users, potentially including after-hours or weekend support for events. This role combines IT technical skills with event coordination and customer service abilities.
Responsibilities
- IT Support for Events: Set up and provide technical support for events, including AV systems, live streaming, projectors, sound systems, and computer hardware, as well as troubleshooting issues that may arise.
- Application Support: Providing support for various business applications, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and providing guidance to users.
- IT Support for Users: Assisting users with technical issues, installing and maintaining hardware and software, and providing training on application usage.
- Event Coordination: Coordinating event setup, managing registration, and ensuring a smooth event experience.
- Problem-solving: Quickly resolving issues that may arise during events or application usage.
- Communication: Communicating with users, IT teams, and external vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and event details.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in IT support processes and event organization.
- Control and Managed IT Inventory.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the management.
Entry Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of related working experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT hardware and software, networking, and operating systems.
- Problem-solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Event Coordination: Experience in event planning, logistics, and on-site support.
- Customer Service: Ability to provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with users.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work after-hours, on weekends and public holidays to support events.
- Able to commence work immediately is preferred.
