Investment Manager, Private Equity (Secondaries)
Position Overview

Thisis an Investment Manager role within the Asia secondaries private equity team. This hire is expected to play a key role in all aspects of our secondaries investments and support on co-investment and primary fund transactions within the Asia (ex-China) region with a focus on India. There will also be collaboration with the broader Asia and Secondaries team. This is a career track role with the opportunity for advancement within our Asia investment practice group.

Job specification
  • Lead execution of investment due diligence of Asia (ex-China) private equity opportunities, encompassing research, assessment, valuation and modelling of various transaction types.
  • Conduct industry research and develop market and sector insights relevant to covered geographies
  • Drive transaction assessment including secondary and primary research, comps comparison, valuation modelling
  • Train junior team members in financial modelling, development of investment theses and memos
  • Drive preparation of investment recommendations to the Schroders Capital Investment Committee
  • Support development of relationships with industry participants, including fund managers and advisors
  • Support preparation of client pitches and requests, and development of new marketing material
  • Drive preparation of quarterly reports and investment updates for Schroders Capital investors
Desired profile
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited university combined with a postgraduate training (CFA or CAIA) or postgraduate qualification (Masters)
  • Financial investment experience with 6-8 years’ working in direct private equity investing, investment banking, transaction advisory (due diligence) or corporate finance
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, financial modelling,financial analysis, and valuation
  • Experience in supporting the execution of secondary transactions
  • Excellent communication skills (written / verbal / presentation)
  • An ability to manage multiple responsibilities and time-sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy
  • A high level of curiosity, strong discipline, and attention to detail
