Job summary

A staffing company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to manage inventory, maintain records, and improve operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate must possess a Diploma or Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management and at least 5 years of related experience, particularly in valves and fittings. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is desirable. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job description

Inventory Controller
Location: Jurong West
Working Days: 5 days Mon - Fri
Working Hours: 8:30am -5:00pm
Salary: $3000 - $4000

Job Description

• Oversee inventory management
• Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
• Maintain and monitor closely on monthly safety stock level to cater to order requests
• Lead yearly inventory stock take
• Ensure sales team are using the correct item codes
• Review and monitor products for discrepancies troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
• Analyse product sales, stock turnover rate and inventory level
• Prepare, generate, and file inventory reports to ensure inventory accuracy
• Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and reduce operations costs
• Administer purchase orders and payment process while working together with finance team on payment issues
• Liaise with forwarder or courier service to plan shipping schedules accordingly to fulfil orders
• Perform other and ad-hoc duties & responsibilities as assigned by the by the Superiors

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma / Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management industry or related discipline
• At least 5 years working experience in a related field
• Experience in valves, pipe & fittings
• Proficient in Ms Words /Excel / Powerpoint
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central system is a Plus
