Job summary

A technology solutions company in Singapore is seeking an IT Operations Manager to assist in managing operations, service levels, and contract administration. You will support infrastructure management, cloud platforms administration, and automation processes. Ideal candidates should have a degree/diploma in Computer Science and experience managing servers in virtualized environments like VMware or Hyper-V. This role will involve working with various technologies including Windows, Oracle, and SQL programming.

Qualifications

• At least have working experience in managing or maintaining servers in a virtualized environment.
• Administer cloud platforms to provision resources and manage instances.
• Good experience in Oracle database administration.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management of Operations, Service Levels and Contract Administration of the technologies and infrastructures
• Assist in the IT Service Management processes, which cover Service Level Management, Incident and Problem Management, Change and Release Management, Configuration Management, Capacity Management, Availability Management, Backup and Recovery Management and Security Management.
• Manage the escalation processes and perform servicerecovery for incidents that directly impact services or users.
• Support user projects involving infrastructure acquisitions and evaluations.
• Ensure the Infrastructure servers and networks systems are adequate, and secured, and the necessary security tools and monitoring systems are in place
• Continually exploit technological advancements or new processes to improve on the robustness, performance or resilience of existing operations and services.
• Assist in the planning, review and testing of the IT Disaster Recovery Plan for ensuring the resiliency of the IT infrastructure services

Job Requirements

• Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computing, Electrical Engineering or IT or equivalent.
• At least have a working experience in managing or maintaining Microsoft Windows, Oracle Solaris/Unix and/or Redhat/Linux Server in a virtualised environment such as VMware or Hyper-V, with Internet and Intranet Web Applications
• Administer cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure ) to provision resources, manage instances, and optimize costs & Implement and maintain automation tools and scripts to streamline system provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes
• Possess good experience Oracle database administration
• Able to code in these programming languages: Python,PowerShell, SQL, Transact SQL (T-SQL).
• Experience in: Database Operations, Database Security, Clouds operations, Infra as code would be advantageous
