Job description

HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL SERVICE ENGINEER

Job Scope

• To lead a team to undertake service work on hydraulic cranes, winches, davits and other hydraulic equipment on board vessel
• Must be hands on with work
• Ensure all service activities are carried out with a high standard of safety & quality mindset
• Troubleshoot hydraulic problems and read and understand hydraulic schematics drawings for repair of hydraulic equipment
• Overhauling of hydraulic pumps, motors, flow pressure, directional control components, and cylinders
• Installation of hydraulic hoses on vessel
• Working on board a vessel or shipyard and overseas if required
• Troubleshooting of electrical related work such as electrical shock panel, electrical starter panel, control panel, PLC to hydraulic power pack and hydraulic system, if able will help

Requirements

• 5-8 years of hydraulic experience relating to servicing of marine hydraulic cranes, winches, hatch cover system, steering gear system, davits etc.
• Possess hands on knowledge on pumps, motors, cylinders and hydraulic components
• Able to work independently for troubleshooting of hydraulic equipment on ships
• Able to read hydraulic schematic drawings and understand fully for repair of the hydraulic equipment
• Engineer working in existing hydraulic service company, hydraulic manufacturing company and shipyards can apply
• Minimum diploma in mechanical engineering from relevant polytechnic in Singapore or overseas OR relevant working experience with a OEM of hydraulic equipment or a hydraulic servicing company can apply.
• Able to work at anchorage and overseas if necessary
• Able to work 5.5 days and weekends if required

Salary: $3.5K - $4.5K
