Job summary

A leading maritime company in Singapore is looking for a candidate to handle HSE logistics onboard vessels. The selected individual will prepare and secure HSE items, conduct atmospheric checks, and ensure emergency equipment readiness. Responsibilities include enforcing safety requirements and engaging the workforce in promoting safe practices. Candidates should have relevant experience in shipbuilding, be physically fit, and capable of shift work. This is an essential role in maintaining safe operations during vessel refits.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in shipbuilding and emergency response is preferable.
• Must be physically fit and healthy.
• Ability to perform shift duties is required.

• Conduct daily checks onboard assigned vessel to enforce safety requirements.
• Engage workforce in promoting safe work practices and accident prevention.
• Participate in emergency situations by performing firefighting and rescue duties.

Job description

Job Summary

• Prepare and arrange all relevant HSE logistics i.e., fire box, Coordination tag boards etc. prior to vessel arrival and secure all HSE related items upon completion of refit.
• To carry out atmospheric gas checks for all the confined spaces as per mandatory requirement.
• To ensure the readiness of emergency related equipment’s onboard the vessel.
• To carry out regular inspections for all work activities onboard the vessel.
• To ensure all requirements as indicated within Permit to work system are complied with.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily checks onboard assigned vessel and surrounding work locations to enforce on mandatory and in-house requirements.
• Participate and engage workforce in promoting safe work practices, accident & fire prevention program.
• To participate in emergency situation by performing firefighting, rescue of personnel & pollution control.

Key Requirements

• Preferably with relevant experience in the ship building and ship in emergency response and firefighting.
• Physically fit and healthy.
• Computer illiterate.
• Able to perform shift duties.
