Job description

Overview

An Arborist executes tree care management programmes for trees and palms. They conduct tree inspection and risk assessment and prescribe remedies for tree health problems. They assist in the preparation of tree assessment reports to management for decision-making. The Arborist enjoys the outdoors, is passionate about tree protection and conservation, and must be willing to work beyond official hours to respond to tree emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Attend to urgent and emergency tree matters after working hours.
• Conduct tree inspection on a daily basis.
• Develop a comprehensive tree management programme.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on arboriculture matters.
• Plan and schedule tree maintenance programme with term contractors and supervisors.
• Prepare a comprehensive Tree Assessment Report.
• Supervise staff to ensure correct tree pruning and cutting methods are being applied.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Agriculture/Aquaculture/Forestry or equivalent.
• Must be valid ISA Certified Arborist
• Required language(s): English, Chinese (to liaise with associates)
• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
