Job Overview:
The HOD MCR is a key member of the SNEF leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing SNEF’s overall membership growth strategy and corporate relations functions. This leadership role is pivotal in delivering sustainable growth, deepening stakeholder engagement, and strengthening SNEF’s brand presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute long-term strategies for membership growth and revenue generation aligned with SNEF’s vision.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team covering business development, marketing, events, and account management.
- Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new markets, trends, and strategic partnerships to expand SNEF’s reach.
- Membership Acquisition & Retention: Develop and oversee strategies for recruitment and retention of members, especially high-value accounts.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Forge and nurture relationships with government agencies (e.g., Ministry of Manpower), trade associations & chambers (TACs), National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), and key industry partners.
- Performance Management: Establish KPIs and implement metrics-driven frameworks to ensure effectiveness and accountability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other SNEF departments to align efforts and drive holistic outcomes.
- External Representation: Represent SNEF in tripartite workgroups, forums, and public platforms, articulating the views and needs of employers.
- Resource Management: Oversee budget planning and ensure optimal allocation to maximise return on investment.
- Talent Development: Attract, develop, and retain talent, fostering a culture of learning and excellence within the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; a postgraduate qualification in a related field would be an advantage.
- Over 15 years of proven leadership experience in business development, sales, and account acquisition.
- Demonstrated success in driving growth and leading complex strategic initiatives.
- Strong leadership with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Excellent relationship-building skills at the executive and institutional levels.
- Experienced in networking with industry leaders, TACs, and government stakeholders.
- Financially astute with experience managing large budgets.
