Appointment of High-Performance Executive (2 Years Renewable Contract)

Volleyball Association of Singapore is the governing body for volleyball and beach volleyball in Singapore. We are excited to invite passionate and talented applicants who can contribute to our cause for the position of High-Performance Executive.

Volleyball Singapore is looking for a High-Performance Executive to join our dynamic team!

Job Purpose

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our national athletes, managing high-performance programmes, and driving Singapore’s Volleyball on regional stage.

The High-Performance Executive will assist the General Manager (GM) in the operations and execution of High-Performance plans, including the management of National Teams, Development Squads, Youth Training Squads and pipeline programmes.

Specific duties:

  • To assist GM in the implementation of High-Performance plans on an ongoing basis.
  • To assist the GM in High-Performance Programmes Management.
  • Providing secretariat support to the High-Performance Committee.
  • Providing administrative support for the national coaches and athletes.
  • Prepare annual operating reports, annual applications for financial assistance and other reports as required to Sport Singapore, NYSI, MCCY and SNOC.
  • Assume role of Team Manager for overseas training and competitions.
  • Logistical support for the national teams’ overseas training and competition, this includes booking of air tickets, application of visas and registration for competitions.
  • Supporting the GM to lead on the following national initiatives and responsibilities: Equality, Safeguarding, Anti-Doping, Data Protection.
  • When necessary, to provide support for other VS operations and events.
Job Requirements
  • ’A’ Level/Diploma/Degree, entry level or with at least one year of relevant working experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in NSA will be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population of community leaders, commercial entities, government officials, volunteers and stakeholders.
  • A team player who is resourceful, adaptable and able to perform key tasks under assigned timelines.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Prioritise and plan one’s own workload and remain outcome orientated
  • Must be able to travel overseas.
  • Have passion for sports. A background in team sport is an advantage.
