Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Singapore seeks a Healthcare Assistant for the Central Sterile Supply Department. The role involves cleaning, packing, and sterilizing surgical tools to ensure safety, as well as managing inventory and monitoring sterilization processes. Candidates must have at least 1 year of hospital experience and a minimum of Secondary level education. This position requires work on staggered shifts including weekends.

  • Prior experience in Central Sterile Supply Department is an advantage.
  • Ability to work staggered shifts including weekends.

The Healthcare Assistant in the Central Sterile Supply Department will be responsible to ensure supply of sterilised sets / items for Operating Theatre and all clinical areas.

Responsibilities
  • Clean, pack, and sterilize surgical tools to ensure patient safety
  • Monitor sterilization processes and record results to meet quality standards
  • Keep sterile items safe and ready for use in surgeries
  • Receive supply requests and deliver items to operating rooms and wards
  • Manage inventory to ensure supplies are always available
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Keep department records and reports organized and up to date
  • Track and document supply orders from wards
  • Report equipment issues to the Nurse Manager or Staff Nurse
Requirements
  • Minimum Secondary level or Equivalent
  • Able to read and write in simple English
  • At least 1 year of relevant hospital experience
  • Has prior experience of in Central Sterile Supply Department will be added advantage
  • Able to work staggered shift on a 6-day work week including weekends
