Job summary

Our Client is seeking a Head of Risk to lead a team of 2 risk management professionals. The role involves developing and implementing risk strategies, assessing potential risks, ensuring compliance, and safeguarding their financial stability.

Responsibilities

• Risk Strategy: Develop and execute risk management strategies aligned with business goals and regulations.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 2 risk professionals.
• Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance and update policies as needed.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate all risks including credit, liquidity and technology, and report to senior management and the board.
• Credit, Operational, and Market Risk: Oversee risk across credit, operations, and markets.
• Crisis Management: Prepare for and manage crises to minimize disruption.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• 7+ years of risk management experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong exposure in ECL & IFRS 9
• Strong knowledge of risk/credit assessment, regulations, and industry best practices.
