A leading manufacturing firm in Singapore is seeking a Head of Operations and Production to oversee full-scale manufacturing activities. The role involves transferring proven methodologies from China operations to enhance productivity and operational excellence. Candidates should have at least 5 years of manufacturing experience and significant knowledge in managing large teams. This position offers a performance bonus and requires strong leadership in production planning, supply chain management, and quality control.

We are seeking a Head of Operations and Production with hands‑on experience in China‑based manufacturing operations is required due to the need to transfer established China plant methodologies. You will oversee full‑scale production activities, including planning, manufacturing processes, supply chain and logistics, quality control, equipment maintenance, and precious materials inventory management. A key focus of this role is transferring proven China plant methodologies to drive higher productivity, stronger process control, and operational excellence in our Singapore operations.
Diploma/Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent.
Proven experience operating or managing a manufacturing plant based in China.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in jewelry, luxury goods, metals, or fine gift production.
Proven experience managing 200+ headcounts.
Minimum 2 years in a managerial capacity (preferred).
Lead daily production planning and scheduling to meet output and delivery targets.
Oversee end‑to‑end manufacturing processes with proven China plant operational standards.
Manage supply chain, quality control, materials flow, resource allocation, and shipments.
Ensure accurate reporting of production stages and maintain strong workflow visibility.
Introduce and refine best practices in efficiency, speed, and cost control.
Oversee trials for new products and implement manufacturing improvements.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained with proactive maintenance programs.
Drive cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining high quality and timely production.
Manage production budgets, cost forecasting, and overtime expenditures.
Supervise the handling and inventory of precious metals and stones.
Develop and maintain quality management systems aligned with ISO9001 standards.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain an accident‑free workplace.
Uphold corporate governance standards and all regulatory requirements.
Implement lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, single‑piece flow, and kanban.
Introduce China‑plant productivity methodologies and disciplined operational processes.
Utilise planning software and data analytics to optimise production flow.
Conduct root cause analysis and apply statistical process control techniques.
Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and visual management tools.
Assess and improve supplier performance based on quality and delivery metrics.
Provide management with clear operational insights and improvement recommendations.
Support strategic planning through data gathering and production analytics.
Explore the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies.
Lead production team meetings, set KPIs, and strengthen performance management.
Lead, motivate, and coach supervisors and production staff.
Strengthen team capability through training and continuous development.
Foster a disciplined, collaborative, and productivity‑driven work culture.
Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback regularly.
