What the role is

The job holder is responsible for defining and executing the enterprise integration strategy, ensuring seamless connectivity and reliable data flow across the organization’s technology ecosystem. This role owns the platforms, frameworks, and practices for application integration and leads a high‑performing engineering team to deliver secure, resilient, and observable integrations at scale. We are looking for highly technical individuals who are passionate about tech, love to solve problems, must be able to code and have a sound engineering mind. What you will be working on
  • Develop and implement an enterprise‑wide integration strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead the selection, deployment, and governance of integration platforms and tools.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of APIs and data platform, ensuring scalability, security and maintainability.
  • Manage and maintain existing integrations, including lifecycle upgrades and deprecations.
  • Drive initiatives to optimise integration performance, reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting and observability systems for integrations to ensure proactive issue resolution.
  • Establish standards and best practices for integration patterns, data flows and API contracts.
  • Recruit, mentor and inspire a high‑performing team of engineers and integration specialists.
  • Allocate resources and manage priorities across multiple integration projects and roadmaps.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with security, data protection and organisational policies in all integration activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology units to align integration solutions with enterprise needs.
What we are looking for
  • 10+ years of experience in application integration, middleware or enterprise architecture.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise integration strategies across complex ecosystems.
  • Hands‑on experience with integration technologies such as API Management platforms, data exchanges, data platform, event‑driven architectures and agentic orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and cloud‑native integration patterns and hybrid environments.
  • Knowledge of security protocols (OAuth, JWT, TLS) and compliance standards.
  • Strong grasp of observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing) for integration health.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to align integration strategy to business objectives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and lead high‑performing teams and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.

All new hires are appointed on a two‑year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
