The Company

Our client is a prominent real estate owner, developer, and investor with a diversified portfolio spanning Singapore and overseas markets. They are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller/Finance Director to lead the finance function and play a critical role in driving financial strategy and operational excellence.

The Role
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and Founder, this is a strategic leadership role oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including consolidation of local and overseas entities, financial reporting, audit, tax, FP&A, risk management, and compliance. Your responsibilities also include:

  • Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, and optimize capital structure and liquidity.
  • Support investment and divestment opportunities through financial analysis and due diligence.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Partner with senior leadership on business planning and growth initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor a lean team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience:

  • CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent).
  • At least 12-15 years of experience in a full-spectrum finance leadership role, covering accounting, reporting, FP&A, treasury, and investment/divestment activities.
  • Ideally experienced in real estate, hospitality, or construction industries.
  • Regional exposure, preferably across Singapore, China, and Australia.
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin to liaise with Chinese counterparts and review documentation.
  • Prior exposure in a Big 4 audit firm is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Hands‑on, adaptable, and solutions‑oriented with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
