Job description

A privately held precision engineering business with international operations serving global customers is entering a phase of professionalisation and long-term growth. The company is strengthening its leadership bench with the appointment of a Group Finance Director.

The Group Finance Director will be responsible for strengthening financial governance, upgrading reporting and ERP systems, and partnering closely with the Board on strategic and operational initiatives. The role carries group-level responsibility across a multi-entity, cross-border footprint and is deliberately hands‑on.

In addition to core finance, the Group Finance Director will have the opportunity to shape and build the finance team over time, ensuring the function can scale with the business. The role will also support growth initiatives, including acquisitions and post‑acquisition integration.

This opportunity suits a senior finance leader who values disciplined execution, long‑term value creation, and building durable businesses over short‑term financial engineering.

Requirements
  • A recognised degree in Accounting, with CPA or CA accreditation.
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA or CFA will be an advantage.
  • Prior experience within industrial or manufacturing environments, with functional exposure across controlling and reporting, treasury, and corporate finance.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in building, developing, and shaping finance teams and processes across multi‑site operations.
  • A track record of leading finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with board members and senior leadership.
