Job Description:

Primary Function Responsible for performing operational tasks, preparing and processing assets for On-demand and digital media streaming services in the Asia-Pacific regions. A strong understanding of technical quality control to support inquiries related to operational or technical issues from both internal and external parties.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all aspects of graphic works, including creative design and resizing of artworks.
  • Ensure all artworks comply with Disney Brand Safety guidelines and relevant regulations and practices of the recipient markets.
  • Explore varied creative approaches to create artwork through photo manipulation, custom font typographic work, special effects treatment and design.
  • Brainstorm and problem solve design challenges.
  • Perform digital resizing of artwork to the format types per distribution requirements.
  • Generate image thumbnails for streaming platform usage.
  • Control the logistic flow to ensure timely delivery of all materials for publishing and/or distribution.
  • Control and approve the quality of incoming and processed assets, before sending for publishing and/or distribution.
  • Capture and record technical data related to assets, including metadata, media quality control results, and format information.
  • Maintain data accuracy in all application systems used by operational functions, i.e., content management systems for services, and their media processing systems.
  • Ensure that tasks assigned by team lead are completed in a timely manner with quality in place.
  • Assist in tracking details of all operational problems, investigate, and provide solutions.
  • Ensure that all aspects of standard operational procedures are maintained and kept up-to-date.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to understand the impact to the business operation.
  • Be a team player with open and honest communication to peers and ensure working towards the same goal.
Experience and Qualifications
  • ITE/Diploma/Degree in graphic and media design, visual communication, media studies or other related fields.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of related working experience in the media industry.
  • Proficient in Video & Design editing software; like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Bridge, Premiere and After Effects) / DaVinci Resolve / Fontself / Maxon Cinema 4D
  • Expertise with artwork production workflows and custom font design.
  • Good understanding of design topics: design principles, typography, color theory, composition etc. and artwork technical specifications.
  • Having an eye for aesthetics to notice subtle details.
  • Proficient in Japanese and/or Korean and/or Mandarin is a bonus point to support Asia-Pacific regions content needs.
  • Self-motivated, team player, show initiatives and positive attitude towards work.
  • Able to prioritize effectively and adapt to different tasks flexibly.
  • Able to deliver high-quality work despite potentials of facing challenging circumstances, unexpected changes, or tight timeline.
  • Willing to work on shift basis (9am - 9pm, alternating every two days)
