Graduate Recruitment and Development Specialist responsible for managing end-to-end graduate recruitment and development programs at Cavenagh Law, a leading Singapore law firm.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing internship programmes with strong candidate conversion and internal engagement.
  • Managing the full graduate recruitment lifecycle: job postings, campus engagement, application screening, assessment centres, interviews, and offer decisions.
  • Managing interviewer training, materials, and panels; coordinating with partners and lawyers on trainee and intern selection.
  • Delivering the firm's People Proposition to enhance attraction, selection, and retention of quality candidates.
  • Monitoring recruitment metrics and providing insights to improve processes and diversity outcomes.
  • Liaising with international graduate recruitment contacts to maximize inter-office student events and networking.
  • Planning and delivering key recruitment events including open days, post-offer events, and cultivation activities.
  • Managing seat allocation, rotation, and trainee secondments, including international placements.
  • Overseeing career development of trainees, including regulatory qualification requirements and supervision training for lawyers.
  • Implementing development activities for interns and trainees, including onboarding, technical, and business skills training.
  • Managing internal trainee qualification and foreign/dual qualification processes.
  • Supporting graduate performance management, feedback cycles, and career progression pathways.
  • Organising ongoing engagement sessions with trainees and participating in ad-hoc projects as directed by Senior HR Business Partner.
  • Managing relationships with legal educational institutions and universities, delivering presentations, workshops, and attending career fairs.
  • Creating and executing the ELEVATE mentoring programme with local universities.
  • Collaborating with Partners, Practice Group Managers, and Compliance team to align recruitment efforts with talent needs and regulatory landscape.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor on graduate market trends and best practices.
About You

The company is looking for:

  • Proven experience in graduate recruitment, preferably in professional services or legal environment.
  • Experience in marketing, attraction, assessment, and selection of graduates.
  • Project management skills with ability to gain stakeholder buy-in and communicate progress effectively.
  • Good knowledge of recruitment marketing tools and social media trends.
  • Strong technical skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Smart Recruiters and Helix is ideal.
  • Understanding of demonstrating business impact of recruitment through metrics.
  • Experience and interest in talent development.
  • Strong planning, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide solutions to complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Natural presenter and communicator with ability to build rapport easily.
  • Strong adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving legal environment.
Training & Development
  • Design and delivery of onboarding inductions, technical skills, and business skills training for interns and trainees.
  • Management of internal trainee qualification and foreign/dual qualification processes.
  • Creation and execution of the ELEVATE mentoring programme with local universities.
Career Progression
  • Responsibility for career development of trainees including regulatory qualification requirements and performance management.
  • Support for career progression pathways and ongoing engagement sessions with trainees.
