Job description
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Register and assume the role of the Building Fire Safety Manager.
  • Perform all duties of Fire Safety Manager as stipulated in the Fire Safety Act and any other additional functions designated by the SCDF Commissioner from time to time.
  • Prepare and submit the annual Fire Safety Report to Management.
  • Advise Management on all matters pertaining to Fire Safety.
  • Regularly monitor loss prevention equipment (e.g. Fire Protection Systems).
  • Conduct Fire Emergency Drills and tabletop exercises.
  • Liaise with relevant governmental agencies, including SCDF and MOH, on fire safety-related matters.
  • Establish and review policies, procedures, and standards relating to Fire Safety.
  • Update Fire Safety Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, and supporting documents.
  • Conduct in-house induction training related to Fire Safety.
  • Review and improve Fire Safety features within the premises and propose recommendations when necessary.
  • Act as liaison officer for Fire Safety submissions to the relevant authorities.
GENERAL

Actively participate as a member or team leader of the Safety Committee.

Develop and review Work Instructions and Quality Procedures for departmental operations relating to Fire Safety, including training and equipping staff to carry out their work safely and effectively.

Coordinate with departments on all Fire Safety issues, particularly those involving minor or major renovation works.

Promote a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Deputy Director.

Job Requirement

Preferably with a minimum 5 years of working experience in Fire Safety Manager.
