Qualifications

  • At least 10+ years’ experience in an agency, marketing, media, or advertising environment.
  • Proven experience managing key accounts and growing client relationships.
  • Has managed 2 or more team members.
  • Understanding of social media marketing.
  • Confident presenter with strong communication skills.
  • Brings self-awareness and a strong growth mindset.
  • Preferably: start-up experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-value client accounts, owning relationships and steering strategy.
  • Own strategy and campaign performance, making sure everything aligns with business goals.
  • Drive account growth and retention through annual planning and upselling.
  • Ensure the financial health of accounts by managing budgets and forecasting.
  • Mentor and develop the team, helping junior members grow.
  • Support pitching and business development to convert prospects into clients.

The Opportunity:

As an Account Director, you’ll be the senior lead across accounts trusted by clients, respected by the team, and obsessed with results.

You’ll shape strategies, steer growth, and ensure we deliver world‑class work that moves the needle.

You’ll also help build our internal culture by mentoring the team, guiding account excellence, and championing our values.

We are looking for someone who brings commercial smarts, people leadership, and a genuine love of social media.

Key Responsibilities
Lead High-Value Client Accounts
  • You’ll be the senior lead across key accounts, owning the relationship, steering strategy, and being the go‑to partner for clients.
  • You know how to build trust with senior stakeholders and spot opportunities to expand into new brands, campaigns, or business units.
Own Strategy & Campaign Performance
  • You’ll set the strategic direction across content, creators, media, and measurement, making sure everything we do ladders up to real business goals.
  • You’ll lead reviews, guide performance reporting, and bring fresh thinking to every campaign.
Drive Account Growth & Retention
  • You’ll take charge of annual planning, renewal conversations, and upsells, always focused on long‑term client success and satisfaction.
  • You’re always thinking one step ahead to identify untapped opportunities and unlock new value.
Ensure Financial Health of Accounts
  • You’ll keep an eye on account profitability and margins to manage budgets, forecasting, and reporting.
  • You’re commercially minded and know how to balance great work with a healthy bottom line.
Mentor & Develop the Team
  • You’ll coach junior team members, helping them sharpen their strategic thinking and grow into confident client leads.
  • You’ll love building others up and creating growth plans that unlock their full potential.
Support Pitching & Business Development
  • You’ll contribute to proposals, pitches, and growth plans—bringing ideas that excite prospects and convert them into retained clients.
  • You don’t just answer briefs, you elevate them and bring a unique perspective.
Culture & Leadership
  • You lead with energy, integrity, and a high bar for quality.
  • You know how to build a strong team culture even across remote team members by fostering trust, an being creative!
