Job description

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving member value, community engagement, operational excellence, and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the President and Exco, they will lead the Secretariat team with discipline, transparency, and agility, ensuring alignment with Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) mission and priorities. The role serves as both an operational leader and strategic enabler, focused on growing Singapore’s fintech ecosystem through member-first, data-driven execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Member Value & Engagement

● Develop and execute strategies to enhance value for members across all fintech verticals and tiers.

● Lead acquisition, onboarding, retention, and engagement through targeted outreach, events, and partnerships.

● Track satisfaction via KPIs and feedback loops to continuously improve member experience.

2. Governance & Secretariat Leadership

● Define and align team KPIs with SFA’s mission and Exco’s strategic vision.

● Oversee financial reporting, AGM prep, and compliance requirements.

● Maintain strong internal controls and ensure governance in line with SFA’s Constitution and regulatory guidelines.

● Build and manage a high-performing Secretariat team with clear roles, mentorship, and structured performance reviews.

3. Data-Driven Operations

● Use data insights to inform strategy, resource allocation, and operations.

● Build and maintain dashboards to track membership trends, financial performance, and program ROI.

● Foster a transparent, performance-driven culture within the Secretariat.

4. Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement

● Lead ecosystem-wide initiatives including consultations, cross-border collaboration, and public-private programs.

● Represent SFA in external engagements, ensuring alignment with Exco-approved messaging.

● Support Exco and President in key meetings, events, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Requirements

● 9–12 years’ experience in fintech/startups, professional services firms and public-private platforms.

● Strong commercial acumen; experience supporting sponsorships and partnerships.

● Proficient in data analysis and dashboarding for strategic decision-making.

● Strong grasp of governance and compliance in non-profit or association settings.

● Excellent in communications and stakeholder management.

● Familiarity with Singapore’s fintech landscape and proven ability to drive member/community engagement with measurable outcomes.

● Ability to design and drive creative and out-of-the box thinking into tangible initiatives.

● Experienced team leader able to align Secretariat with Exco and SFA’s goals.
