Job description
Duties & Responsibilities

1. Corporate Management

  • Support the Managing Director in overall corporate management.
  • Oversee internal control, legal affairs, audits, and approval processes.
  • Lead mid‑term planning, annual budgeting, KPI setting, and performance tracking.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, government bodies, unions, and industry groups.

2. Liaison with Headquarter in Japan

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to the parent company.
  • Handle internal applications/approvals related to headquarters.
  • Participate in senior management discussions for Group‑wide business planning.
  • Serve as the primary interface for key personnel from Japan HQ.

3. Organization, Human Resources, and IT

  • Strengthen organizational structure and foster a positive corporate culture.
  • Lead people development, training systems, evaluation frameworks, and retention initiatives.
  • Plan long‑term workforce optimization.
  • Oversee IT governance, ensuring reliable, stable, and secure system operations and managing IT‑related risks (cybersecurity, access control, disaster recovery, etc.).

4. Finance & Accounting

  • Ensure accounting compliance and oversee audit responses.
  • Manage financial planning, cash management, banking relations, and engagement with the parent company’s finance team.
  • Lead P/L planning, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Oversee tax compliance, including transfer pricing.

5. Procurement

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for key raw materials.
  • Lead Business Continuity Planning for both short‑ and long‑term scenarios.
  • Oversee major contract renewals and vendor management.
  • Ensure ethical procurement practices and anti‑bribery compliance.

6. Logistics & Inventory

  • Ensure safe delivery, warehouse operations, and zero shipment errors.
  • Optimize inventory levels in coordination with Japan HQ.
  • Continuously pursue cost reduction.

7. Production–Planning Alignment

  • Work with Japan Sales & Marketing and internal teams to establish practical production–sales–inventory plans.
  • Approve sales‑related documents issued by AKSS.

8. Safety, Quality, Environment & Health

  • Support implementation and improvement of SS506 Part 3, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS18001, IATF 16949, and related systems.
  • Ensure legal safety responsibilities are fulfilled and elevate MAH risks when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).
REQUIREMENTS
  • 10+ years of business management experience in the chemical or chemical‑related industry
  • Business‑level Japanese proficiency
  • Deep understanding of Japanese corporate culture and ability to apply it
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven leadership capability
  • Expertise in at least one of the following areas:
    • Human Resource
    • Finance
    • Supply Chain (Procurement or Logistics)
    • Business Planning / Corporate Planning
