Job description

As the Gallery Operation Supervisor, you will be key person in handling and maintaining the operational readiness of the 3 gallery spaces in Tanjong Pagar Distripark and 1 additional retail spaces in Paragon.

Overview
Key Responsibilities
  • Key person in the facilities management of all the gallery and retail spaces to ensure operational readiness of the business
  • Planning and coordinating the operations for exhibition and auction preview including details into setting up the gallery display, hanging the paintings, moving sculptures and pedestals, adjusting lighting, etc
  • Training and supervising the workers to do packing of artworks in a professional manner and arrange them in the storeroom
  • Scheduling and preparing the delivery and installation artworks to the customers including site visit if necessary
  • Handling pre-auction and post-auction logistics including local delivery and import/export shipment
  • Keeping record of inventory and update inventory movement
  • Maintaining productive relationships with suppliers
Requirements
  • Min. 1-2 years of experience in operations and/or facilities maintenance
  • Diploma or graduate in any arts management, facilities management or related courses
  • Resourceful and able to work independently
  • Meticulous with great attention to details
  • Customer orientated with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Able to work under tight deadlines
  • Highly motivated and able to undertake pressure
  • Knowledge on inventory control is an advantage
  • Bilingual in both English & either Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia to liaise with associates and clients
