Key Responsibilities
The Fund Accountant will be responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day operations across multiple investment funds.
Key duties include:

Cash Reconciliation & Management:
- Reconcile daily cash positions across funds.
- Optimize cash utilization to minimize portfolio funding costs.

FX Hedging Support:
- Assist in executing foreign exchange hedging strategies based on investor requirements.

Margin Oversight:
- Monitor and ensure sufficient margin excess across funds and asset classes.

Investor Onboarding & Transactions:
- Liaise with fund administrators to facilitate KYC/AML processes for subscriptions and redemptions.

Client & Marketing Support:
- Provide data and insights for marketing materials, investor presentations, and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs).
- Address client‑specific accounting and tax‑related queries.

Strategic Initiatives & Projects:
- Contribute to new fund launches and firm‑wide initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
- Collaborate on cross‑functional projects with teams across the organization.
Requirements

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is advantageous.

Experience:
- Prior experience in fund accounting or investment operations within an asset management firm.
- Exposure to asset classes such as long/short strategies and macro products is preferred.
- Experience in cash management is advantageous.

Fund Structures Knowledge:
- Familiarity with various fund structures including:
- UCITS and European vehicles
- Cayman master‑feeder structures
- Singapore and Japan domiciled funds

Regulatory & Tax Reporting:
- Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements in jurisdictions such as the US (e.g., CFTC), Singapore, and Hong Kong.
- Knowledge of fund tax regimes including US tax rules and the UK reporting fund regime.

Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with portfolio management systems (PMS) is a plus.
