Job summary

A new veterinary clinic in Singapore is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to assist in caring for hospitalized patients, keeping the clinic clean, and aiding nurses during procedures. About Meraki Vets

We are a new small animal clinic opening in Joo Chiat, Katong. Our clinic is built around thoughtful patient care, clear communication, and sustainable ways of working. As a founding team member, you’ll be part of shaping how the clinic runs from the ground up. It will be busy and challenging at times, but you’ll have the opportunity to make a real contribution કરે to the culture, standards, and day-to-day flow of the practice.

Our focus is on providing high-quality veterinary care while ensuring clients are informed, supported, and involved in decisions about their pets. We also place importance on staff wellbeing, fair compensation, and realistic workloads, with an aim to build a workplace people want to stay and grow in long term.

Work structure
  • Full-time, 4 to 5-days (41-49 hours including two-hour lunch/admin breaks from 12 pm to 2 pm)
  • Last consultation scheduled 1 hour before NBA work ends
  • Two-vets on duty, 1:3 vet to nurse ratio with reception and patient/animal care assistant support

Patient Care Assistant Key Responsibilities
  • Care for hospitalised patients (dogs and cats) by feeding, walking, cleaning, and comforting them
  • Clean cages, rooms, and treatment areas according to hygiene standards
  • Help with gentle restraint and basic handling under supervision
  • Watch patients for changes and report concerns to nurses or vets
  • Assist nurses with simple, non-clinical tasks during procedures
  • Manage laundry, waste disposal, and general cleanliness
  • Help unpack, stock, and organise supplies
  • Keep the clinic clean, safe, and organised
