Job summary

A leading engineering services firm in Singapore is seeking candidates with at least 3 years of experience in onshore and/or offshore roles within the oil & gas industry. Responsibilities include performing weight assessments, ensuring safety during helideck operations, and maintaining effective working relationships with the team. Job description
Develop and Maintain Effective Working Relationships
  1. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team, colleagues and visitors to the working environment.
  2. Establish and maintain effective communication with the team, colleagues and supervisors.
  3. Carry out accurate and effective work, toolbox talks and handovers.
Conduct Slinging and Rigging Operations
  1. Perform weight assessments and Risk Assessments before lifting awkward loads.
  2. Check preparation of loads for lifting (Load is secure and stable).
  3. Use various lifting items (plate clamps, barrel lifters, chain hoists, etc.).
  4. Perform bundling and slinging of simple and awkward loads.
Perform Effective Signalling / Communications
  1. Direct the movement and placement of loads using appropriate hand and radio communication techniques.
  2. Rig, sling and position the blind load using appropriate hand signals.
  3. Rig, sling and position the blind load using radio communications.
Perform Inspections and Maintain Safe Procedures for Helideck Operations
  1. Inspect the helideck for loose materials and protruding objects.
  2. Ensure the integrity of the Helideck and associated equipment (navaids and landing aids) by conducting checks daily and before flight arrivals.
  3. Ensure personnel on the Helideck are conducted safely to and from the aircraft.
  4. Stow and remove luggage and freight according to safe working practices.
Contribute to the Health and Safety of the Working Environment
  1. The work area within your own responsibility is kept clean and free of hazards.
  2. Positive action is taken to stop hazards and unsafe behaviours.
  3. Alarms are raised as appropriate and/or acted upon using applied policies and procedures or initiative.
  4. Record maintenance activities and report defects immediately and effectively.
Monitor and Maintain Pollution Control Measures
  1. Controlled process or utility discharges from the area of responsibility to the environment are within prescribed limits.
  2. Unplanned discharges are identified, halted where possible and reported according to Management System guidelines.
  3. Equipment, waste or other materials for disposal are segregated properly and dealt with according to the correct procedure.
Emergency Response
  1. Demonstrate competence in Emergency Response drills and exercises.
  2. Carry out the Emergency Response role (See Station Bill).
Requirements
  1. Willing to undertake both onshore and offshore assignments as required.
  2. Able to complete assigned rotations or projects fully and remain for the entire assignment period.
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience in onshore and/or offshore roles within the oil & gas industry.
  4. Hands-on experience in maintenance and operations activities.
  5. Physically fit to work in onshore and offshore environments.
