Key Responsibilities
Operational Efficiency
- Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, ensuring all checklists are completed.
- Manage table allocations and the flow of service in coordination with the host team to optimize seating and minimize wait times.
- Monitor the maintenance and presentation of the restaurant, including cleanliness, table settings, and overall ambiance.
- Assist in managing inventory of chinaware, glassware, and linens, reporting any shortages or damages.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (SG Clean, HACCP).
D. Sales & Profitability
- Actively promote restaurant promotions, signature dishes, and premium beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
- Minimize waste and support operational controls to protect the restaurant's profitability.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a high‑end, fast‑paced restaurant environment. Experience in a fine‑dining Chinese restaurant is a significant advantage.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service in a luxury hotel or premium dining establishment.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, teas, and beverage pairings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English. Proficiency in Mandarin or other Chinese dialects is highly preferred to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Possess a service‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Ability to lead by example, motivate a team, and maintain composure under pressure.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and reservation platforms like Tablecheck.
