Job description

To consistently deliver an exceptional and authentic Chinese dining experience. The Service Team Leader is a hands‑on role, responsible for ensuring seamless service execution, upholding the highest standards of guest satisfaction, and embodying the refined elegance of the Peach Blossoms brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a visible and engaging presence on the restaurant floor, anticipating and fulfilling guest needs.

  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and swift resolution, escalating to the Restaurant Manager when necessary.
  • Personally welcome and attend to VIP guests, ensuring their experience is flawless.
  • Have an expert knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, cooking techniques, and recommended wine/tea pairings.
  • Guide guests through the dining journey, offering insightful recommendations on signature dishes.
  • Proficient in all aspects of service, from tea pouring etiquette to tableside preparation.
Operational Efficiency
  • Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, ensuring all checklists are completed.
  • Manage table allocations and the flow of service in coordination with the host team to optimize seating and minimize wait times.
  • Monitor the maintenance and presentation of the restaurant, including cleanliness, table settings, and overall ambiance.
  • Assist in managing inventory of chinaware, glassware, and linens, reporting any shortages or damages.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (SG Clean, HACCP).
D. Sales & Profitability
  • Actively promote restaurant promotions, signature dishes, and premium beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
  • Minimize waste and support operational controls to protect the restaurant's profitability.
Key Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a high‑end, fast‑paced restaurant environment. Experience in a fine‑dining Chinese restaurant is a significant advantage.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service in a luxury hotel or premium dining establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, teas, and beverage pairings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English. Proficiency in Mandarin or other Chinese dialects is highly preferred to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Possess a service‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Ability to lead by example, motivate a team, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and reservation platforms like Tablecheck.
