Fleet Supervisor

Job Purpose:
To ensure the reliability and efficiency of our courier services, the Fleet Supervisor leads our driver team and manages our vehicle fleet. You will be the key player in ensuring on‑time deliveries, exceptional safety standards, and cost‑effective operations in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fleet & Delivery Operations:
- Manage the daily deployment and activities of the courier fleet.
- Plan and dynamically optimize delivery routes using dedicated software to meet performance targets.
- Monitor real‑time fleet tracking, proactively addressing delays or operational issues.
- Analyze daily performance data to identify and implement improvements.
2. Driver Leadership & Management:
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate a team of delivery drivers.
- Create shift schedules, manage leave, and ensure adequate driver availability.
- Foster a culture of safety and service excellence.
- Professionally handle driver concerns, feedback, and performance issues.
3. Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance:
- Oversee the scheduled servicing, repairs, and cleanliness of all vehicles to maximize uptime.
- Ensure all vehicles fully comply with LTA and other regulatory safety standards.
- Maintain meticulous digital and physical records for inspections, maintenance, and fuel.
4. Safety, Regulations & Reporting:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation, employment, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and training.
- Prepare accurate reports on fleet KPIs (on‑time performance, costs, maintenance) and control expenses against budget.
5. Customer Service & Coordination:
- Work closely with the Customer Service team to resolve delivery‑related inquiries or issues promptly.
- Ensure transparent communication regarding delivery statuses.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required: Proven experience (2+ years) in fleet management, logistics, or a similar operations role, preferably within courier/transportation.
- Strong competency with fleet management software, GPS tracking, and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills under pressure.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team.
- Practical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and local transport regulations.
- Advantages: Formal qualification in Logistics, Transportation, or Business Management. A valid Class 3 driver's license.
Work Environment:
This is a hands‑on, dynamic role based at our operations centre with daily time spent in the fleet yard. Occasional field travel is required. As a key operations leader, flexibility during peak periods is essential to support the team and meet customer demand.
