Job Description

This role will report to the Head of Fixed Income Sales & Trading in Singapore and have matrix reporting to Head of Planning Hong Kong with the main responsibilities of:

  • A business management role to facilitate requests from the business to develop and grow the Fixed Income Sales & Trading business. This would include projects for new products and/or system as well as authoring internal documentations.
  • Oversee a team to facilitate business management roles including client onboardings and period reviews, working in close coordination with internal stakeholders such as Legal and Compliance.
  • Work on projects that supports the FIST team in aspects such as planning, documentations (such a procedure manuals), consultation with other departments and implementation.
  • Maintain and seek ways to improve desk operational efficiencies by working on enhancements where needed.
  • Manage risk and control governance issues or error incidents on the FIST team.
  • Support all reporting requirements and conduct monitoring of KPIs of FIST team as well as compliance, regulatory and legal issues
  • Where required, the business manager will coordinate with related parties within SMFG across geographies for purposes of meeting business objectives.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy, Banking, Business or Law, or relevant professional qualification
  • Min 8 years of experience in the financial services industry, internal/external audit, compliance
  • Familiar with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Self-directed team player who works well with colleagues at all levels to achieve a high standard of work and who is willing to take personal accountability for delivery
