Role Overview

As the Fitness Centre Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the exceptional operation, cleanliness, and guest experience within the various fitness and wellness facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a pristine and safe environment, assisting guests with their needs, and upholding our high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain Facility Excellence

  • Ensure gym, Pilates studio, Yoga studio and wellness areas, including the fitness floor, locker rooms, wet areas (sauna, steam room, whirlpool), treatment rooms, and common areas, are consistently clean, tidy, and well-stocked with amenities
  • Log temperature of all hot/cold zones consistently
  • Monitor the gym and wet areas for guest safety, ensuring adherence to facility rules and regulations.
  • Report any maintenance issues, dysfunctional equipment, or safety hazards promptly to the supervisor

Guest Service:

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, provide general orientation to the facilities (e.g., locker room use, equipment location)
  • Answer questions about available services, amenities, and general centre information

Operational Support:

  • Assist with the replenishment of towels, linens, and other consumables in all designated areas.
  • Support the team with setting up for classes or special events within the gym and wellness zones

Hygiene Standards:

  • Conduct regular cleaning and sanitization routines for equipment, surfaces, and high-touch areas, adhering to strict hygiene protocols

Inventory Management:

  • Assist in monitoring and managing the inventory of supplies for the gym and wellness operations

Emergency Response:

  • Be aware of emergency procedures and respond appropriately in the event of an incident or injury, providing assistance until professional medical help arrives

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong commitment to cleanliness and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform duties that may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in a customer service, hospitality, or spa/fitness environment is preferred.
