Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP.

• Manage audits and handle tax planning and compliance.
• Work closely with traders on financial aspects of commodity deals.

5 Days Work Week, 9.30am to 6.30pm (Mon-Fri)

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements, ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, and analyze results to provide useful insights to management.
• Lead the budgeting process, prepare financial forecasts, and track variances to explain performance drivers.
• Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures to protect assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, debt, and banking relationships—crucial for a capital-intensive commodities trading business.
• Manage both internal and external audits and handle all tax planning and compliance requirements.
• Work closely with traders to manage the financial aspects of complex commodity deals.
• Improve accounting processes and use financial systems/ERP tools to boost efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, and work with other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial control or managerial accounting, preferably within the commodities trading or related industry.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and experience working across local and overseas jurisdictions is an advantage.
