Job description

The incumbent shall be part of the Finance Shared Services (FSS) team responsible for the daily operation of Fixed Asset (FA) function in accordance to 1FSS Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Responsibilities
  • Supervises a team of four staff.
  • Review and ensure transaction postings compliance with Financial Reporting standards (FRS) and PHI’s policy & procedures.
  • Monitor Assets under Construction / FA clearing GL Accounts open items schedule, ensuring staff have performed follow-up actions and post asset capitalization timely.
  • Review asset tag acknowledgement logs to ensure staff follow up on outstanding matters.
  • Review fixed asset verification returns ensuring staff have completed necessary follow-up actions and report to PHIs’ Finance upon closure.
  • Liaise with internal / external stakeholders and auditors on Fixed Asset related matters
  • Provide staff training; give performance feedback and coaching to staff to achieve corporate KPIs.
  • Review work processes to improve efficiency and to strengthen internal control procedures
  • Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in accounting or equivalent (e.g. CAT); with at least 10 years’ experience in Accounts Payable/ Accounting or Degree in Accountancy or ACCA, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferably with 1-3 years’ of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in SAP is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Independent, self-driven and meticulous.
  • Customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
