Qualifications

In Asia - Singapore, Hanwha Offshore Solutions Singapore positions our expertise as the Center of Excellence for Project Management & Execution Center of Energy Plant Business that opens up the global energy ecosystem Hanwha Ocean develops and produces advanced facilities and platforms optimized for Energy Plant Business environments based on the best production system and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Closing

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing in accordance with local GAAP and Group/IFRS requirements.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages for HQ.
• Review all key journal entries, accruals, provisions, fixed asset capitalization and depreciation, and other complex accounting entries.

Tax & Compliance

• Coordinate with external tax advisors on corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax and other local tax filings.
• Review tax calculations and submissions prepared by external advisors or internal staff.
• Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany billing from an accounting perspective.

ERP & Process Control

• Own the chart of accounts, cost center structure and key accounting settings in the ERP.
• Define and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls for financial processes (AP, AR, fixed assets, expenses, payroll postings, etc.).
• Work closely with the Finance & Operations Officer to ensure correct and timely postings in the ERP.

External Audit & Stakeholder Management

• Act as primary contact point for external auditors; prepare and coordinate audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Support the CFO in interactions with banks, regulators, and other external stakeholders whenever accounting input is required.

Qualification & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, including hands‑on closing and audit exposure (engineering/technology or project‑based environment is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and good understanding of IFRS / Group reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, high sense of ownership, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English; able to explain accounting topics to non‑finance stakeholders.
