Job description
Key Responsibilities:

As a Field Application Engineer / Technical Support Engineer, your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional technical support and guidance, including:

  • Customer Support Management: Organize and lead customer support initiatives, focusing on swift design-in processes and optimal satisfaction.
  • Pre-Sales & Design-In Assistance: Provide expert technical assistance during pre-sales phases and offer comprehensive support throughout the design-in process.
  • After-Sales Support: Deliver robust after-sales technical support to resolve customer queries and issues efficiently.
  • Customer Engineering Developments: Drive and support customer-specific engineering developments and solutions.
  • Returned Material Analysis (RMA): Conduct final evaluations of analyzed returned materials and provide timely feedback to customers and internal teams.
  • Marketing Consultation: Liaise with the marketing service for technical insights on customer projects within your support area.
  • Bench Testing & RMA Screening: Perform rigorous bench testing and initial RMA screening for issues within your support area.
  • Technical Training: Organize and conduct comprehensive technical training sessions for customers and distribution partners.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis: Analyze the GPS market landscape and identify new project opportunities.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed customer support reports.
  • Feedback & Bug Reporting: Provide valuable technical market feedback and detailed bug reports to engineering teams.
  • Competition Analysis: Conduct periodic technical competition analysis and road tests to stay abreast of market trends.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements:
  • Education: MinDegree in Telecommunication, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Field Application work specifically with GPS devices.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the APAC region (estimated 30-50% travel required).
