Job summary

Field Service and ApplicationEngineer (Semiconductor)
Responsibilities
  • Technical Servicing & Support: Perform on-site installation, commissioning and troubleshooting. To conduct factory, buy-off of systems prior to shipment.
  • Product Application Support: Provide technical support and guidance to customers on equipment applications.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site and remotely, utilizing technical documentation, diagnostic tools & collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Customer Training: Conduct comprehensive training programs for customers on equipment operations, maintenance & troubleshooting procedures.
  • Technical Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, prepare detailed service reports, and contribute to development of technical documentation.
  • Global Distributor/ Agent Identification: Research and identify potential global distributors and agents to expand our market reach, presenting findings and recommendations to Sales Manager.
  • Sales Support & (Lead Generation): Identify and qualify potential leads for new equipment sales or upgrades during field service visits.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (preferably physics or chemistry)
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of related industry.
  • Self-motivated and able work independently.
  • Able to communicate well in both English and Mandarin (requisite).
  • Willingly to travel overseas when required
  • Demonstrate interest in sales and business development with willingness to learn and contribute to sales efforts
  • Comfortable networking and building relationships with potential customers, distributors and agents at industry events
