About the Role

We are seeking a Facility Engineer with sustainability experience to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of building facilities, with a strong focus on energy efficiency, resource optimisation, and sustainable facility management practices.

The successful candidate will work closely with operations, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure facilities are maintained to high standards while supporting the organisation’s sustainability and compliance objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance
  • Oversee day‑to‑day facility operations including M&E systems (e.g. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
  • Coordinate and supervise term contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective works to ensure operational reliability.
  • Assist in troubleshooting facility issues and implementing effective solutions.
Sustainability & Resource Management
  • Support sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction programmes.
  • Monitor and analyse utility consumption data (electricity, water, gas) and identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Assist in the implementation and tracking of sustainability KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Support audits, certifications, and reporting related to sustainability standards (e.g. Green Mark, ISO 14001 / ISO 50001 / ISO 46001 where applicable).
Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation, reports, and records for facility operations and sustainability initiatives.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments.
Stakeholder & Project Support
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand operational needs and improvement opportunities.
  • Support minor upgrading works, sustainability improvement projects, and pilot initiatives.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and improvement recommendations when required.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Building Service, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in facility management, building operations, or sustainability‑related roles.
  • Basic working knowledge of M&E systems and building operations.
  • Exposure to sustainability practices, energy management, water efficiency, or environmental compliance.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and standards (e.g. BCA, NEA, WSH) is an advantage.
  • Good analytical, documentation, and coordination skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred / Advantageous Skills
  • Experience supporting Green Mark, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 46001, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with utility monitoring systems, sustainability reporting, or audits.
  • Basic data analysis skills (Excel or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
