Role

The Facilities Operations Executive will report directly to the Facilities Operations Manager and take on a hands‑on role in support the day‑to‑day management of campus facilities, including responsibility for maintenance, safety compliance, and ensuring the facilities remain safe, functional and well‑maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Plans, organises, maintains and manages the operations and reliability of NIM facilities and general infrastructure systems.
  • Establishes and monitors preventative maintenance processes and programs and facility inspection processes for on‑going review of maintenance work by agencies.
  • Develops, recommends, and administers policies, procedures, and processes in support of grounds and building maintenance operations; implements and monitors compliance with approved policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Monitors the safety and accessibility of the building and its facilities.
  • Serves as the point of contact for the school.
  • Updates and maintains a list of facilities equipment.
  • Monitors and oversees the work of external contractors to ensure terms of agreements are met and work is completed satisfactorily.
  • Participates in the development and administration of grounds and building maintenance budget.
  • Work is generally performed in both an office environment and an outdoor environment.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of facilities maintenance and operations, contract and vendor management, preventive maintenance, project coordination, sustainability practices, and compliance with applicable local laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a school environment with diverse stakeholders, manage and mediate conflicts, conduct negotiations, and analyse operational issues to recommend practical, goal‑aligned solutions.
