Role Summary
The Facilities and Maintenance Executive plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality and operational readiness of our climbing gyms. This position oversees the maintenance of climbing walls and gym infrastructure, manages logistical and procurement processes, and supports safety related compliance across all facility operations. The role requires close collaboration with the Operations Team, vendor partners and mall management to uphold service quality and safety standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Facility, Maintenance & Safety
- Conduct regular checks and maintenance on walls, belay devices, and climbing equipment
- Coordinate with vendors on repairs and inspections
- Manage records for maintenance tracking
- Handle and support operations during facility incidents when reported during shifts
Logistics & Procurement
- Manage gym equipment inventory and supply replenishment.
- Handle procurement of tools, services, and consumables.
- Coordinate logistical needs across gyms
Cleaning, Repairs & Compliance
- Conduct outlet cleaning and minor repairs
- Ensure facility tidiness and hygiene per checklist.
- Support internal and external audits and continuous process improvements
Risk & Safety Audits
- Conduct Risk Assessment Matrices (RAMs) and safety inspections.
- Implement hazard mitigation and corrective measures
Train and Mentor Staff
- Conduct training in equipment verification, rescue protocols, and troubleshooting for Duty Officers (DOs).
- Offer hands‑on mentorship to develop staff’s operational competence, reinforce safety protocols, and support their continued professional development
Operational & Administrative Duties
- Serve as Duty Officer to uphold standards and processes in accordance with the DO manual.
- Conduct verifications in line with Climb Asia’s standards.
- Process membership‑related requests and document management according to PDPA guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in facility or operations management, preferably in fitness, climbing, or sports‑related settings.
- Physically fit as job requires heavy lifting
- Knowledge of climbing safety systems and maintenance protocols is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with digital tools and inventory systems.
- Certifications in First Aid and Work‑at‑Height (preferred or willing to obtain).
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and mentoring skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or multiple outlets.
