A dynamic restaurant group in Singapore is looking for an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and develop the menu. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of management experience in a cafe or restaurant, strong leadership skills, and a keen focus on customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include inventory management, coordinating staff training, and ensuring compliance with hygiene standards. The role offers competitive compensation and opportunities for growth.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant (front and back kitchen), ensuring high standards of food quality, plating, and service.
Responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, and managing food and beverage staff, including servers, kitchen team, and baristas; coordinating staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing coaching.
Work with the kitchen/culinary team to develop and refine the menu to align with customer preferences and cost targets.
Manage purchasing, inventory, and supply—monitor inventory levels, order ingredients and beverages, control costs, and minimize waste.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and sanitation regulations, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the restaurant.
Professionally handle customer feedback and complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction and providing service remediation when necessary.
Monitor the financial performance of food and beverage operations—manage budgets, track costs (food, labor, materials), analyze sales reports, and propose improvements to maximize profitability.
We are looking for—Qualifications and Skills
At least 3-5 years of food and beverage management experience, or experience in a similar supervisory role in a cafe/restaurant/hotel environment. Excellent leadership and team management skills – able to recruit, train, lead, and motivate a diverse food and beverage team.
Exceptional customer service awareness, along with outstanding communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Solid knowledge of inventory management, budgeting, cost control, supplier relations, and food safety/hygiene standards.
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic restaurant environment; flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Familiar with POS systems/restaurant software and basic financial reporting, or willing to learn.
