Job description
  • Up to S$3,500 + 1-Month Bonus

  • Master the "Syllabus Plus" system to manage complex timetables for full-time and associate academics.

  • Work closely with Academic Directors and the Programme Management team to ensure optimal lecturer assignments and student pathways.

  • One-year renewable contract or Permanent position.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant planning/scheduling experience; meticulous attention to detail is critical.

Our Client is one of Singapore’s leading private education institutions, known for providing high-quality tertiary education in collaboration with renowned international universities. Operating out of a vibrant city campus, the academy manages a large volume of students and a diverse pool of local and international lecturers. They pride themselves on operational excellence and a structured academic environment regulated by the Committee for Private Education (CPE).

Responsibilities:
1. Programme Planning & Scheduling
  • Prepare Overall Schedule based on programme information.

  • Plan and schedule timetables with scheduling system (Syllabus Plus) and release timetables within the given timeframe.

  • Work with Academic Directors to schedule assignments to academics (Full Time / Associates) and to ensure full-time academics are prioritized and optimally assigned.

  • Liaise with vendors for outsourced tasks, such as lecturer placement, issuance of contract, payroll processing, assessment marking fee, etc and support in providing necessary data and information where required.

  • Managing and updating the pool of Associated Lecturers.

  • Daily checking of assigned classes to ensure class starts as per scheduled.

  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders on scheduling related matters: students’ pathway, teaching load.

  • Provide accurate information and schedule promptly and updates to relevant stakeholders as and when necessary.

2. Resource Planning & Data Management
  • Plan and manage resources (e.g. room, lecturers) using Syllabus Plus to ensure smooth delivery of programmes.

  • Input, maintain and update information and data to student management system and / or other applicable applications.

  • Ensure all assigned teaching staff and modules are registered with CPE.

  • Liaise with the Programme Management team for student’s pathway, tutorial groupings, assessments.

3. Exams
  • Work with Exam Team to plan examination schedules for assigned programmes.

  • Liaise with Exam Centre for main and re-exams.

4. Others
  • Support in providing data during budgeting exercise.

  • Support in conducting orientation to newly appointed associate lecturer.

  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the company from time to time.

Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in any discipline.

  • 1–3 years of working experience, with at least 1–2 years specifically in planning or resource scheduling.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel is essential); experience with resource optimization tools is a significant advantage.

  • Excellent numeracy and organizational skills; ability to remain calm and accurate when working under pressure or tight deadlines.

Other Information:
  • Location: Marina Square / City Hall area

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm.

  • Occasional assistance required for student orientations and school events (approx. 2–4 times a year).
