Job Description Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Executive / Senior Executive (Corporate Communications) will undertake digital and marketing communications functions to profile the Association as a credible voice of the shipping industry. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for producing various external communications assets in a compelling manner, to engage SSA’s members and other stakeholders.
You will prepare and co-ordinate the following and where required, project manage vendors:
Responsibilities
- Produce high quality, on message content (copy and visuals) on SSA’s digital communication channels, newsletters and annual reports.
- Act as a brand guardian both internally and externally, for the Association.
- Assist Head of Communications in managing media relations.
- Contribute to the growth of SSA’s digital communication channels and engagement of target audience.
- If need be, assist the Communications & Membership team in events management.
Key Tasks
- Co-ordinate production of corporate newsletter and annual report, shape editorial angles and manage external vendors to deliver on time and with quality.
- Review / produce website content.
- Produce marketing communication collaterals for SSA events and other corporate assets like corporate presentations, video, banners and other templates.
- Ensure consistent, quality application of brand guidelines and templates in the organisation.
- Assist in the crafting of interview briefing documents and talking points for SSA Council Members and management.
- Measure and grow the reach of SSA’s digital channels (website and social media), and contribute towards building an engaged online community.
- Co-manage ongoing editorial calendar for SSA’s social media channels and produce social media content (copy, pictures, videos).
- Co-maintain SSA image (photo and video) library and ensure consistent quality of visual communication across the organisation.
- Assist with any other administrative or ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of in-house corporate or digital communications experience.
- Familiarity in website management, user experience, SEO and web traffic metrics.
- Proficiency in graphics, video editing or audio production software would be useful.
- Possess corporate or business communication, visual communication, marketing or similar qualification (Diploma or Degree).
- Ideally have worked in a membership-based or non-profit organisation, but not a must.
