Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Virtualization Deployment Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler, Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop. This role requires a deep understanding of Windows client and server operating systems, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and user experience optimization. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation is also essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute the deployment of virtual environments using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler, VMware Horizon, and Azure Virtual Desktop. Knowledge of all the technologies mentioned above is a plus.


• Ensure seamless integration and deployment of Windows client and server operating systems.


• Knowledge of virtual environments using vSphere, Nutanix, and Hyper-V hypervisor and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).


• Implement and manage deployment processes for system services such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, failover clusters, file servers, and Certificate Authority.


• Configure and manage deployment environments to ensure optimal performance and security.


• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate deployment, configuration, and management tasks.


• Utilize automation tools to streamline deployment processes and ensure consistency.


• Analyze and improve functionality related to user experience.


• Implement best practices for performance tuning and optimization of virtual environments.


• Maintain detailed documentation of deployment configurations, processes, and procedures.


• Monitor deployment processes and environments to identify and resolve issues promptly.


• Perform post-deployment validation to ensure systems are functioning as expected.


• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure successful deployments.


• Communicate deployment status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.


• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment processes (a plus).


• Utilize tools such as PowerShell and Ansible to automate repetitive tasks and ensure consistency (a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Proven experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler, VMware Horizon, and Azure Virtual Desktop. Knowledge of all the technologies above is a plus.


• Strong knowledge of Windows client and server operating systems and Group Policy Objects (GPO), Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, failover clusters, file servers, and Certificate Authority.


• Hands-on experience with user experience optimization and performance tuning.


• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.


• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.


• Relevant certifications (e.g., Citrix Certified Professional, VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
