Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for an Environmental Compliance Officer to monitor site activities and ensure all contractors meet environmental standards. You will conduct site inspections, prepare reports, and lead environmental awareness training for staff. The ideal candidate should have a Professional certificate/Nitec, be a registered ECO with NEA, and possess at least 2 years of experience in the construction industry. Strong communication, teamwork, and multi-tasking skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Registered ECO with NEA required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge in WSH Act and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for monitoring all activities on site and ensure that all contractors comply with the standard requirements of the conditions stipulated.
  • Conduct regular site inspection to assess the project and advise on the required actions to ensure environmental compliance.
  • Record, compile and prepare HSE reports and statutory reports in the required formats.
  • Prepare vector control plan to be submitted to client
  • Prepare and submit site environmental control report periodically
  • Ensuring all the necessary environmental authorizations and permits have been obtained and confirming that the activities on the site comply with legislation.
  • Liaison with pest control operator for periodical inspection.
  • Conduct environmental awareness training to all staff on site.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management and the designated manager.
Requirements
  • At least a Professional certificate / Nitec or equivalent.
  • Must Be a registered ECO with NEA
  • Must possess professional knowledge in Law and regulations (WSH Act and Environment).
  • At least 2 years of working experience in construction industry.
  • A good team player with good communication skills and multi-tasking.
  • Physically Fit & Healthy.
  • Hardworking and driven.
  • Able to write and speak in English.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office
